EPF’s 2012 Young Adult Urban Pilgrimage Program will take place in March ( see dates below). The urban Pilgramage is an alternative spring break program for college students and young adults that introduces participants to the complex and often hidden social problems impacting many urban communities, and does so through a spiritual framework. Operating at multiple sites around the country, EPF’s Urban Pilgrimage Program engages with issues such as homelessness and immigration by bringing participants face-to-face with individuals who struggle daily with these problems, as well as with the professionals who serve them. The Urban Pilgrimage experience of witness and examination empowers young adults to take action in their own communities on issues of poverty and injustice. Participant subsidized cost is $150 plus transportation.
