EPF Nonviolence Training

Learn about the sprituality and practice of active nonviolence in your own life.  Harvest the wisdom from your experiences, as well as from the lives of ordinary people and famous nonviolence leaders.  Learn how peaceful change occurs.  Practice skills of peacemaking.  Take time for reflection and depart with a sense of peace that will allow you to cultivate change.  That’s what  EPF endorsed  Creating a Culture of Peace Curriculum offers.

Find out how you can attend, promote and/or host a nonviolence training.  Contact Steve Shanks (srshanks@gmail.com) for more information.  Creating a Culture of Peace is fully participatory, reflective and experiential.

EPF also has launched two special nonviolence projects, one  in partnership with the Diocese of Haiti (contact Nicole Janelle: revjanelle@gmail.com)  and one with Episcopal Native Peoples (contact Robert Two Bulls: rtwobulls@hotmail.com).

Please call or write us today to discuss how we can assist you, your parish, diocese or community to bring in nonviolence training.

We encourage all people of faith to seek out active nonviolence training.  EPF has sponsored and passed General Convention resolutions calling The Episcopal Church to endorse and support nonviolence training in congregations, dioceses, provinces and institutions of The Episcopal Church.

Take Action:

1.  Call EPF to discuss how to host a nonviolence retreat.

2.  Host a nonviolence retreat – Creating a Culture of Peace Brochure.

3.  Support our work with Native Peoples and with Haitians
